Crisis & Issues Management

Concerns over the environment, the evolution of citizen journalism and the complexities of managing multinational organisations across geographies make it inevitable that companies will face a crisis situation at some point in their future.  For today’s leaders, it is no longer a question of “What to do if ...;” but rather, “What to do when…”

Pleon’s Crisis Management team has over 25 years of collective experience helping companies identify, address and manage the critical issues that can impact reputations, from the environment, social, health, legal, and financial issues to personal behaviours and ethics.  Comprised of seasoned consultants from throughout Europe who intrinsically know their local markets, Pleon is uniquely qualified to help a company go beyond a single “crisis scenario,” to anticipate and identify the breadth of hidden and potentially damaging issues it should plan for.  Experience, efficiency, flexibility, speed, 24/7 availability as well as clarity and an ability to remain calm under pressure are just some of the attributes our consultants are known for.

Pleon uses a sophisticated set of tools to provide targeted, individualised and swift assistance to companies for the prevention of, the reaction to, and the transformation of crisis.  There are three levels to Pleon’s crisis approach:

1) Fundamental identification of issues and subsequent scenario planning provide a menu approach for companies wanting to address specific topics.

2) The mapping of stakeholder “ecosystems” takes a deeper dive into the probability of a specific crisis and explores the horizontal and vertical layers of influence it will have.

3) Comprehensive planning, crisis simulation training and executive counsel are packaged to help a company prepare for a crisis before, during and after the event

Throughout it all, Pleon works to create a stable of quick and reactive content including messaging, databases and all possible collateral.  The team’s comprehensive experience with issues from labour legislation, the environment and security make the creation of these materials more rapid, increasing a company’s level or preparedness and allowing the Pleon team and the client to spend more time addressing, identifying and dissecting difficult issues.
