The Pleon C-Matrix Group AG is reorganising its activities in the Swiss communications and PR market with the foundation of its own office in Geneva.
With the opening of the new office, Pleon C-Matrix will be able to achieve its objective of intensifying its activity in the development of communications programmes for international organisations and companies. Jean-François Cancel, until now Managing Director of Pleon in Paris, has been appointed to head up the new operation.
International orientation
The Managing Director of the new Pleon C-Matrix office in Geneva, Jean-François Cancel, has extensive experience in advising major international customers with comprehensive knowledge of the Pleon network. Until recently, he worked as Managing Director in Pleon's Paris office, a role he took on in June 2000.
Jean-François Cancel's responsibilities will include providing advice in strategic and corporate communications, traditional media activities, crisis communications, internal and change communications, public affairs and corporate publishing.
"I'm delighted to be joining a team with great knowledge of and experience in the entire range of communications, PR and media disciplines, and this in a market which, compared to its European neighbours, boasts many specific features," says Jean-François Cancel.
Jean-François Cancel, a 47-year old graduate of the Institute for Political Studies in Paris, also carries pan-European responsibility for crisis communications within the Pleon network.
Pleon C-Matrix Group AG – a premium address in the Swiss communications market
Since its foundation in 1992, Zurich-based Pleon C-Matrix Group AG has grown into one of the most respected agencies in the Swiss market. With around 20 employees, the agency develops communications and marketing strategies for many national and international clients.
"With the opening of our office in Geneva, we are bringing our proven expertise to the city and developing our European orientation," explains Alfred Koecher, CEO of Pleon C-Matrix AG. "Given the importance and attractiveness that Geneva is acquiring for a growing number of international organisations and companies, it is a natural step for us to strengthen our commitment to the city."
Following discussion with the heads of Pleon Europe and Pleon C-Matrix Group AG, those previously heading up the Geneva office, Luc Giacobino and Laurent Paoliello, have decided to run their business independently in future.
