Venice, Italy, 22 May 2008 – Pleon was formerly recognised as European Consultancy of the Year at the 2008 SABRE Awards annual ceremony. The award was presented by the event founder and PR industry authority, Paul Holmes, at a gala event in the heart of old Venice. Pleon was singled out from a score of well-known international agencies based on its continental focus, nationally diverse management team and breadth of service offerings.
Accepting the award on behalf of Pleon, European CEO Timo Sieg said: “This is an extremely gratifying moment for Pleon. In the past three years, our teams from around the EU have distinguished themselves for their local market insights, unparalleled grasp of European trends and issues and collaborative approach to multi-regional execution. We are delighted to be honoured by the Holmes Report.”
Since its launch in October of 2004, Pleon has grown to over 1,000 employees in 16 countries and is supporting a large portion of Europe’s leading international corporations. According to the Holmes Report, many now consider it the largest public relations operation in Europe pointing out Pleon’s strengths not only in traditional continental markets such as the DACH region (Germany, Austria, Switzerland), the Netherlands or the UK (where multinational clients tend to locate their headquarters,) but also its presence in offices like Stuttgart, Milan, Graz, Geneva and Zagreb.
