Pleon Nominated for Five SABRE Awards

April 2006. Pleon, Europe's leading communications consultancy has once again been nominated for several SABRE Awards.

This year's nominations include global projects in the executive leadership, sponsorship and retail categories as well as three nominations for work done in the financial and telecommunications industries in Central Europe.

The SABRE Awards is sponsored by public relations industry watcher, The Holmes Group. This is the third year that The SABRE Awards has been available for European participation.  Commenting on the awards, CEO Timo Sieg said, "We are delighted that for the third year in a row, Pleon has been recognized for outstanding work by our industry peers and we are very much looking forward to the results in May."

Specifically, the 2007 nominations recognise five outstanding programmes executed at both the international and local market levels by Pleon:

Executive Leadership

The 2006 Shell Renewables, Hydrogen and CO2 Ambassador Programme. Pleon helped Shell articulate its carbon management core strategy and developed communication skills and programmes to effect genuine change, both inside and outside the company.

Sponsorships

The Guggenheim Collection. - Deutsche Telekom. Pleon assisted Deutsche Telekom with the marketing of their sponsorship of The Guggenheim Collection -- the largest show of works ever held in the museum's 70-year history.

Retailers

Excellence in Communications, Metro Cash & Carry. Pleon and Metro Cash & Carry developed a global communications infrastructure that would bring life to the organisation's "Professionals Serving Professionals" business concept and arm the global communications team with the tools needed to deliver on its brand promise.

DAS (Deutschland, Austria, Switzerland)

Future Camp: The Deutsche Telekom 2006 Children's Congress. Pleon worked with Deutsche Telekom and over 100 children from four European countries at an event on Climate Protection.  The United Nations and Unesco awarded the Future Camp the seal of the UN Decade of Education for Sustainable Development.

Wealth Management on Tour, Hypo Vereinsbank.
Pleon's 12-city wealth management tour provided unprecedented insider access to some of the world's most exceptional brands and allowed HVB to retain and attract private and company customers to their newly formed wealth management division.

Created by the PR-industry trade journal the Holmes Report, the prestigious SABRE Awards celebrate superior achievement in branding and reputation.  The awards will be presented at The SABRE dinner to be held on 24 May, 2007 beginning at 8:00 pm at the Maritime Museum, Barcelona, Spain.
