Duncan McKean has joined Pleon as an Account Director in the company’s London offices. McKean, who was previously at public relations consultancies Hotwire and AxiCom, will be responsible for developing and managing strategic business-to-business communications programmes for clients such as Nortel, Intuwave and eGain. Duncan will report directly to Geoff Beattie, CEO, Pleon UK.

Throughout his career, McKean has managed programmes for a wide portfolio of technology clients including Fujitsu Siemens, IBM and ARM Holdings. At Hotwire he worked within the electronics practice, where he launched Stretch Inc to the European market and acted as lead on the Flextronics account. Prior to Hotwire, McKean worked for European technology business-to-business PR agency, AxiCom, where his clients spanned the whole technology spectrum. During this time, his specialist focus on the semiconductor industry, managing accounts including Transmeta, IBM Microelectronics, ARM Holdings and Cirrus Logic, saw him build up and lead the agency’s pan-European electronics practice.
