February 2008, Amsterdam, Netherlands – Commenting on the acquisition, Pleon NL CEO Tim de Boer explained: "One of the leading challenges for organisations today is managing stakeholder relationships with employees. Leaders are starting to recognise and appreciate the real-time need to deploy more intuitive communications practices with employees and the addition of INC-21 will help Pleon to further accelerate our services to meet increased client demand."
Formerly a BBDO Netherlands agency, Amsterdam-based INC-21 was founded in 2001 and employs 11 specialists in employee communications. Clients of INC-21 include Douglas Cosmetics and Inter Access.
Expanding on the addition of the new colleagues de Boer said: "This amalgamation will accelerate our expertise in employee communications by linking the new services with existing Pleon projects including the European Union DG Employment. INC-21 is a good addition to our portfolio and gives us the opportunity to support one of the most critical goals our clients give us: positioning themselves as preferred employer brands."
The team from INC-21 will be absorbed into the existing Amstelveen offices but exist as a new business unit within the Netherlands entitled Pleon Employer Communications.
