Paris, 1 September 2008 - Pleon, Europe’s leading communications consultancy for public relations and public affairs, has announced the appointment of Saïd Aïssaoui to chief executive officer for France. In his new role, Aïssaoui will oversee all daily operations of Pleon’s French business and is tasked with expanding Pleon’s reputation in the market as a political and business communications consultancy.
Timo Sieg, CEO of Pleon Europe, commented on the appointment, “We are extremely excited about the addition of Said Aïssaoui to our Paris office and to the company as a whole. After an extensive search, I’m confident we’ve found the ideal leader for France.”
Paris is a critical hub for Pleon’s European business development and Aïssaoui’s diverse background -- ranging from journalism, to crisis management, to public affairs – was a key reason for his appointment. In addition to his CEO responsibilities, he will also sit on Pleon’s European Board of Directors.
Aïssaoui also commented, “I’m delighted to be joining Pleon, a team of professionals whose reputation as innovators and achievers is second to none in our industry. Clients today expect the highest service levels and a deep understanding of business, politics and communications. Pleon Paris will continue to deliver each of these and more.”
Prior to joining Pleon, Aïssaoui held several leadership positions at Burson-Marsteller in Paris and also worked as a political correspondent for RTL Télévison in France. He holds duel degrees in Law and English, as well a journalism degree from the Ecole Supérieure for Journalism at Lille.
